Ever since I was at school I wanted to be on the radio, back then, girls on radio wasn't really a thing, which just made it even more important to me to succeed...
getting into radio
In 1994 after a spell at the Gosport based hospital radio station, 'Radio Haslar' I had made enough contacts to find myself at my first commercial radio station, Wey Valley Radio. I turned my hand to everything, selling commercial airtime, reading the news and finally broadcasting my own show. The station had been acquired by the radio group UKRD, and so my career began
Since 1996 I have been a daytime presenter with Eagle Radio, based in Guildford. I have also broadcast on other UKRD radio stations, Eagle 70s, Eagle 80s, Pirate FM, KLFM, Sun FM and Star Radio.
You can find out more about my radio show here: eagleradio.co.uk/kim
As part of my broadcasting career I have achieved a number of personal goals, taken part in some crazy stunts, and collected a Silver Sony Award!
I have also broadcast on stations around the world, including WISP in Sarasota, Florida and Coastline FM in Southern Spain.
top of the pops
In 2006 a lifetime ambition to present a chart show was fulfilled. I was approached by BBC World Service to be the host of the worldwide radio show 'Top Of The Pops'
Featuring the latest UK album and singles charts, the programme is broadcast each week to the BBC World Service's audience cover Asia, Australia and New Zealand and by re-broadcasters around the world. The show is also available online here
